Grupo Pefaco participated in the Sports Betting West Africa 2015, the West-African Gaming summit, which took place in Lagos, Nigeria.

It was the first Leisure and Gaming industry summit organized in the country. The event took place in Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos and assembled the main Leisure and Gaming industry players, specifically those concerned with sports betting in West Africa. Its aim is to structure one of the industries that present the biggest potential in the sub-region.

As part of the 20th anniversary of Grupo Pefaco in 2015, the Group wants to celebrate the occasion and share the event with its employees, customers and partners.

For this, global actions at all subsidiaries are scheduled throughout the year 2015. Among its actions, the “Jackpot Salary“: a Group employee will be drawn on a monthly basis and will receive a double pay.

The winner of the 7th Jackpot Salary is Naomie MATIABA KAMBIZI, cashier at the Leisure & Gaming Spaces in Lydia Ludic RDC. She’s part of the company since the 2nd of May 2013, when she joined the team as an intern, working at the Leisure & Gaming Spaces of the communes of Matete and Gombe of Kinshasa. On November 2013, she officially started working as a cashier, job that she is currently carrying out at the Leisure and Gaming Space of the commune of Kimbanseke in Kinshasa. She is 24 and was born in Kinshasa.

Grupo Pefaco is present in the Democratic Republic of Congo since 2006 through its subsidiary Lydia Ludic Sonal SPRL and employs nearly 100 people in Kinshasa and Matadi, under the supervision of General Director Emmanuel CIGUGE.

Grupo Pefaco sponsors the HEC Paris Poker tournament

Each year, Paris business school HEC Paris organizes the MBA Tournament (MBAT) on its campus in Jouy-en-Josas. This annual event gathers more than 1500 MBA students from prestigious European Business schools in multi – sports  tournaments (soccer, billiard, rugby, chess, etc.).

For the 25th edition of the MBAT, Grupo Pefaco and its Gaming and Leisure subsidiary Lydia Ludic Togo sponsored the equipment and prizes of The Texas Hold’em Poker tournament and supported the HEC team in its organization.

Colas MESTRALLET, Poker expert at Grupo Pefaco, was in charge of the organization and played the role of dealer during the tournament. He also gave away the prizes and trophies. The first prize of the tournament was 2000 euros, half of which was destined to the Togolese association FONDAVO, aiming to help widows and orphans in Togo.

The winner of the 6th Jackpot Salary is Banhouaba Hamadou OUOBA, cashier at the Leisure & Gaming Spaces in Lydia Ludic Burkina Faso. He’s part of the company since its creation in 2002. Holder of a Certificate of General Education, he officially joined the team of Lydia Ludic Burkina Faso as Supervisor of the Leisure & Gaming spaces before he started working as a Cashier in August 2003. Banhouaba Hamadou OUOBA was born in Botou, in the East of Burkina Faso. He is 37, married and has a 7 year old son.

Grupo Pefaco is present in Burkina Faso since 2002 through its subsidiary Lydia Ludic Burkina SA and employs more than 1000 people in 31 cities, under the supervision of General Director Pierre-Michel PONS.
