SATALL Industries puts the Cash Less project in motion in its Lydia Ludic subsidiaries

SATALL Industries is currently working in partnership with the Canadian company Axes Network on a project to integrate a Cash Less exploitation system in five of the most important Lydia Ludic Leisure and Gaming Spaces in Africa. This system will simplify the operation activities and provide a better transparency and improve the quality of the services offered to the clients.

The Leisure and Gaming Spaces that will implement these systems are the following:

  • VIP Room Biétry, in the municipality of Biétry in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
  • VIP Room Jardins, in the neighborhood Vallons of the municipality Cocody, in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
  • Leisure and Gaming Space on the avenue Yennenga, in the neighborhood Kamsongin of Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.
  • Leisure and Gaming Space in the neighborhood Cadjéhoun of Cotonouin Benin.
  • VIP Room Mozart, in the neighborhood Assivito of Lomé, Togo.
  • The VIP Room Taba (in the neighborhood Adawlato of Lomé) in Togo already implemented the system as a trial in a Leisure & Gaming Space in 2013.

To facilitate the implementation of the project, missions and working sessions under the supervision of Jérôme BIENSAN, Technical Director and R&D Project Manager of SATALL Industries, will regularly take place in the aforementioned countries. Project chiefs of the subsidiaries will also be welcomed at the headquarters of SATALL Industries, in Lomé, Togo, to undergo special trainings to better understand the features of the project and what is at stake.

SATALL Industries is the technical and technological platform of Grupo Pefaco, whose main functions are Research & Development, implementing pilot projects, advising and offering expert assessments in the Leisure & Gaming industry and providing logistic support at an international level.

Grupo Pefaco: 20 years with the local communities – April: The Disabled

As part of Grupo Pefaco’s 20th anniversary in 2015, the Group’s founders, Francis PEREZ and Olivier CAURO, want to be even more active in the development of the local communities of the countries in which they are present.

Each month, thematic social actions will take place in the countries in which Grupo Pefaco operates. In April, the Group carried out social actions destined to people with disabilities. Amongst others, Lydia Ludic Burkina Faso donated food and essentials to the blind and vision impaired people of Bobo-Dioulasso, Lydia Ludic Côte d’Ivoire organized leisure activities for the young people with developmental disabilities of the “La Page Blanche” centre in Abidjan, and Lydia Ludic Niger donated food and essentials to the Association of Blind People in Niger.

To celebrate the Groups 20th anniversary, Francis PEREZ and Olivier CAURO have planned to share the event with their employees, their customers and their partners through global actions scheduled throughout the year, in all the Group’s subsidiaries. Amongst its actions, the “Jackpot Salary“ for the employees of the company and gifts for their clients and partners.

4 countries attended ISAFE MOROCCO 2015 in Casablanca with the cooperation of Grupo Pefaco

The 2nd edition of ISAFE (International Security and Fire Fighting Exhibition) took place from the 9th till the 12th of April 2015 in the Office of Fairs & Exhibitions of Casablanca (OFEC), Morocco. ISAFE MOROCCO is an international event gathering more than 150 worldwide exhibitors and welcoming over 3.000 visitors to show the latest solutions and services in the firefighting, health and safety industries.

The African countries are facing new challenges in matter of safety and health while developing their infrastructure and industries. It appeared decisive to Grupo Pefaco that participating in the development of local communities would also involve participating in developing its Rescue Service’s expertise. Thus, Grupo Pefaco sponsored the attendance of the chiefs of fire brigades of BeninBurkina FasoTogo and Niger, at ISAFE MOROCCO 2015.

Through this action, the founders of Grupo PefacoFrancis PEREZ and Olivier CAURO, fulfill their wish to actively support the de­velopment of the communities in which it operates.

Grupo Pefaco: 20 years with its employees · January Jackpot Salary

As part of the 20th anniversary of Grupo Pefaco in 2015, the Group wants to celebrate the occasion and share the event with its employees, customers and partners.

For this, global actions at all subsidiaries will be scheduled throughout the year 2015. Among its actions, the “Jackpot Salary“: a Group employee will be drawn on a monthly basis and will receive a double pay.

The winner of the 1st Jackpot Salary is Mr. SANOU Bakary, cashier at Lydia Ludic Burkina Faso since the 1st of April 2004. He initially worked in Ouagadougou before being assigned to Banfora. He is married and has two children.

Lydia Ludic sponsored the closing ceremony of USSU-BF

The closing ceremony of the Union of Sports in Schools and Universities of Burkina Faso (USSU-BF) took place on the 25th of April 2014 in Ouagadougou. USSU-BF organizes sports competitions in Burkina Faso.

In December 2013, Lydia Ludic Burkina Faso sponsored the opening ceremony of the USSU-BF 2013-2014 season in Dori. Hence, it felt natural to the subsidiary of Grupo Pefaco to sponsor the closing ceremony of the season.

By promoting youth extracurricular sport programs, Lydia Ludic is adamant of the social policy established by its founders, Francis Perez and Olivier Cauro, of getting involved in the development of local communities.

Passana Festival: Lydia Ludic supports the Burkinabese culture

Lydia Ludic Burkina Faso is back at the 4th edition of the Passana Festival. Last year, the subsidiary of Grupo Pefaco sponsored the 3rd edition.

Passana Festival is an initiative of the Association Passana, its objective is the involvement of the youth and children in the Burkinabese culture, through its promotion and development. The festival also highlights traditional music and promotes rights for the disabled. It encourages people to take part in the event, in order to better understand the national culture.

The 2014 edition of the Passana Festival took place in Ouagadougou between the 15th and the 19th of April. People had the chance to take part in various cultural workshops and debates; they could attend live concerts, film and documentary showings.

This year, the festival revolved around 2 themes:
• Theme I: enhancing the involvement of youth in African traditional music.
• Theme II: Promoting and highlighting the rights of disabled people in the society.

Lydia Ludic Burkina Faso took an active part in organizing the festival, particularly for the disabled, through the setting up of basketball tournament.

The tournament took place on a beautiful day and all teams that were taking part featured players in wheelchairs.

By taking part in this cultural and social event, Lydia Ludic is adamant of the social policy established by its founders, Francis Perez and Olivier Cauro, of getting involved in the development of local communities.

Lydia Ludic employees set an exemplary model

On March 5th, Lydia Ludic agents went into action for a blood donation. Lydia Ludic has been consecrated with a remarkable example: Francis Perez, the President of Grupo Pefaco, the parent company of Lydia Ludic, upon its founding in 1995, was determined about the social aspects of the company.

In an interview granted to an online African newspaper, Afriquinfos, he conveys his commitment: “We transmit our work ethic and moral values to our subsidiaries, with the aim of taking part in the development of local communities, through various social, environmental and cultural projects”. Based on this ground it is not surprising to see the employees of the company follow their President’s example and contribute to the company’s dedication.

Early March, the subsidiary Lydia Ludic Burkina Faso sponsored a blood drive – organized by the association SOS Sang – in Ouagadougou, and all naturally the majority of the employees donated their blood on this day.

An exemplary role model set by company managers plays an important part in the employees’ mentality. Such spirit and actions have a strong impact on a company’s external and internal environment, as Grupo Pefaco has proven over time. To see more photos of the blood drive, click here.

Social project: building a preschool center – Part 2

The project has gotten off to a good start. It followed up with the agreement between the parties and took a turning point last week.

Lydia Ludic, France Volontaires and Enfants & Développement gathered last Tuesday (January 28th) in Dar Salam (near Ouagadougou) to set the first stone of what is planned to become a wonderful preschool that will help families cope with childhood poverty. Many people attended the moving ceremony, as a lot of expectations arose from the social project. As a thank you gesture to Lydia Ludic‘s involvement in the project, General Manager Mr. Pierre-Michel Pons was honored with the laying of the first stone (picture).
