Charity Gala: Pefaco Hotel Maya Maya 5* supports the foundation Perspectives d’Avenir

On Friday the 16th of February, the Foundation Perspectives d’Avenir presented on Friday the 16th of February its newly established headquarters at 35 Avenue des Trois Martyrs, in district 4 Moungali of Brazzaville, in the Republic of Congo. Besides the inauguration ceremony, many activities took place to celebrate the event, amongst which a Charity Gala, that Pefaco Hotel Maya Maya 5* sponsored.

Many Congolese and international celebrities appeared during the night, to make their contribution: raising money to finance the « Kelasi » funds (scholarship grants) and the « Telema » funds (business grants), of the Foundation to help young Congolese in the development of their education and skills training in the areas necessary for the emergence and development of the Congo.

Pefaco Hotels at the international tourism trade fair FITUR for the 2nd consecutive year

Pefaco Hotels will take part in the 36th edition of the international tourism trade fair FITUR from the 20th to the 24th of January 2016 at the Trade Fair Institution of Madrid, IFEMA, and will welcome attendees in Hall 6 at booth 6D07.

FITUR is a global meeting point for tourism professionals. During the 2015 edition, FITUR reinforced its predominant role of being an exchange platform with international scope, with a mass participation record of 125.000 professionals from 139 countries, and up to 222.000 unique visitors in total, confirming the importance of the fair at an international level.

Africa best Practices, the first Togolese economic growth and investment forum, will take place on February 26th and 27th 2015 in Lome, with the intention of presenting the potential investment opportunities in Africa. Africa Best Practices will talk about “How to reform African Economies to boost their growth?”. Many international decision-makers will gather during the 2-day-forum to debate and share their respective experiences.

Francis PEREZ and Olivier CAURO, the founders of Grupo Pefaco, aim to accompany the Togolese institutions in their development and growth. They have therefore decided to give them their full support by sponsoring the event, along with the World Bank amongst others.

On the 27th of January, 2015, took place the meeting Spain GTF, which aims to analyze the tourism industry at an international scale.

Many experts and key figures of the sector were presents, amongst which the President of the Government of Spain Mariano Rajoy, Taleb Rifai, the General Secretary of the World Tourism Organization.

A delegation of Pefaco Hotels, the hotel division of Grupo Pefaco, attended the forum all day long.

Togo for the first time at the International Tourism Fair FITUR 2015

The Republic of Togo will participate for the first time in the International Tourism Fair FITUR in its 35th edition, from January 28th to February 1st, 2015 in Madrid, thanks to Pefaco Hotels’ sponsorship.

The Togolese Ministry of Tourism will welcome attendees in Hall 6 AFRICA / MIDDLE EAST at booth 6D11. The Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Togo and Pefaco Hotels will join the professionals present to meet with industry experts to develop potential partnerships and contribute to the development of tourism in Togo.

FITUR is a global meeting point for tourism professionals and the leading trade fair for inbound and outbound Ibero-American markets. In 2014-confirming the trend towards recovery in the industry- 9,083 exhibiting companies from 165 countries/ regions, 120,231 trade participants and 97,549 people from the general public, met during FITUR to transform leisure into business and business into development. Moreover among the participation figures of note was the presence of 7,368 journalists from 60 countries, a turnout that demonstrates the importance of FITUR on the international circuit of tourism sector events.

Pefaco Hotels, a subsidiary of Grupo Pefaco, was created in 2009 with the aspiration of becoming a key player in the tourism industry in Africa. Solidary tree day: Pefaco Hotels fighting deforestation

On November 6th, Pefaco Hotels took part in the 28th National Tree Day. This edition was held under the theme “Let us fight against deforestation by planting trees.”

During the day, Pefaco Hotel Alima Palace 5* planted numerous different species of trees. All hotel staff participated with joy, accompanied by delighted customers.

For Pefaco Hotels, the hotel division of the Spanish company Grupo Pefaco, planting a tree is a civic duty and a very crucial action in the battle against climate change.

National Tree Day is celebrated on November 6th each year, established in 1986 by President Denis Sassou-Nguesso, in order to fight deforestation and forest degradation.

Pefaco Hotels was created by Francis Perez and Olivier Cauro in 2009. The Group and its subsidiaries are deeply committed to and involved in social responsibility and environmental policy in all the countries they operate in.

Hostelco, the international exhibition of the latest innovations in equipment, products, hotel and catering services, is currently taking place in Barcelona.

Hostelco brings together the leading companies in the food and service industry from the 20th to the 23rd of October 2014 at the Fira Gran Via in Barcelone. Pefaco Hotels joined the professionals present at the event to get in touch with nearly 500 industry experts and develop possible partnerships with hotel suppliers.

The hotel brand of Grupo Pefaco was created in 2009 by Francis Perez and Olivier Cauro, with the ambition of becoming a major player in the tourism, leisure and business industry in the African continent.

Grupo Pefaco attends the Togo-Spain summit

On Wednesday 16th of July, the Palacio of Viana in Madrid hosted the official meeting between Togo and Spain to boost their respective economies and develop new projects together. Both countries were represented by their Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, the Togolese Robert Dussey and the Spaniard José Manuel García-Margallo, who discussed common strategic development lines, to strengthen the bonds between their governments.

To promote cooperation between both countries and contribute to the build-up of business opportunities for Spanish companies in Togo, Francis Perez and Olivier Cauro sent a representative of Grupo Pefaco to attend the meeting organized by the European Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

The event was a success for the professionals and experts from private and public sectors present at the summit. Milestones of numerous projects between Togo and Spain were set and praised by the press of both countries (Europapress.es, Presspeople.com, Republicoftogo.com, IciLomé.com, etc.).
