Grupo Pefaco sponsors the HEC Paris Poker tournament

Each year, Paris business school HEC Paris organizes the MBA Tournament (MBAT) on its campus in Jouy-en-Josas. This annual event gathers more than 1500 MBA students from prestigious European Business schools in multi – sports  tournaments (soccer, billiard, rugby, chess, etc.).

For the 25th edition of the MBAT, Grupo Pefaco and its Gaming and Leisure subsidiary Lydia Ludic Togo sponsored the equipment and prizes of The Texas Hold’em Poker tournament and supported the HEC team in its organization.

Colas MESTRALLET, Poker expert at Grupo Pefaco, was in charge of the organization and played the role of dealer during the tournament. He also gave away the prizes and trophies. The first prize of the tournament was 2000 euros, half of which was destined to the Togolese association FONDAVO, aiming to help widows and orphans in Togo.

SATALL Industries puts the Cash Less project in motion in its Lydia Ludic subsidiaries

SATALL Industries is currently working in partnership with the Canadian company Axes Network on a project to integrate a Cash Less exploitation system in five of the most important Lydia Ludic Leisure and Gaming Spaces in Africa. This system will simplify the operation activities and provide a better transparency and improve the quality of the services offered to the clients.

The Leisure and Gaming Spaces that will implement these systems are the following:

  • VIP Room Biétry, in the municipality of Biétry in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
  • VIP Room Jardins, in the neighborhood Vallons of the municipality Cocody, in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
  • Leisure and Gaming Space on the avenue Yennenga, in the neighborhood Kamsongin of Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.
  • Leisure and Gaming Space in the neighborhood Cadjéhoun of Cotonouin Benin.
  • VIP Room Mozart, in the neighborhood Assivito of Lomé, Togo.
  • The VIP Room Taba (in the neighborhood Adawlato of Lomé) in Togo already implemented the system as a trial in a Leisure & Gaming Space in 2013.

To facilitate the implementation of the project, missions and working sessions under the supervision of Jérôme BIENSAN, Technical Director and R&D Project Manager of SATALL Industries, will regularly take place in the aforementioned countries. Project chiefs of the subsidiaries will also be welcomed at the headquarters of SATALL Industries, in Lomé, Togo, to undergo special trainings to better understand the features of the project and what is at stake.

SATALL Industries is the technical and technological platform of Grupo Pefaco, whose main functions are Research & Development, implementing pilot projects, advising and offering expert assessments in the Leisure & Gaming industry and providing logistic support at an international level.

Grupo Pefaco: 20 years with the local communities – May: Women

As part of Grupo Pefaco’s 20th anniversary in 2015, the Group’s founders, Francis PEREZ and Olivier CAURO, want to be even more active in the development of the local communities of the countries in which they are present.

Each month, thematic social actions will take place in the countries in which Grupo Pefaco operates. In May, the Group carried out social actions destined to Women. Amongst others, Lydia Ludic Togo granted zero rate microcredits to a group of self-sufficient women to enable them to finance their agricultural and retail activities. Lydia Ludic Côte d’ivoire donated essentials to the women that just gave birth at the General Hospital of Marcory. Moreover, Grupo Pefaco’s subsidiaries also offered gifts to their clients and female staff for Mother’s Day, on the 31st of May.

To celebrate the Groups 20th anniversary, Francis PEREZ and Olivier CAURO have planned to share the event with their employees, their customers and their partners through global actions scheduled throughout the year, in all the Group’s subsidiaries. Amongst its actions, the “Jackpot Salary“ for the employees of the company and gifts for their clients and partners.

Grupo Pefaco: 20 years with its employees · May Jackpot Salary

As part of the 20th anniversary of Grupo Pefaco in 2015, the Group wants to celebrate the occasion and share the event with its employees, customers and partners.

For this, global actions at all subsidiaries will be scheduled throughout the year 2015. Among its actions, the “Jackpot Salary“: a Group employee will be drawn on a monthly basis and will receive a double pay.

The winner of the 5th Jackpot Salary is Tchaa-Abalo LANTO, entertainer of the Leisure & Gaming Spaces at Lydia Ludic Togo. He has a baccalaureate A and on the 1st of October 2014 he officially started working with Lydia Ludic Togo. After taking part in Lydia Ludic’s training sessions, he joined the team at the Gaming Hall in Kara. Tchaa-Abalo LANTO was born in Assoukoko, in the Centre of Togo. He is 28 and married.

Grupo Pefaco is present in Togo since 1997 through its subsidiary Lydia Ludic SARL and employs more than 400 people in 20 cities, under the supervision of General Director Alexandre QADER.

Amongst others, Lydia Ludic Burundi donated food and essentials to the Home Sainte-Elisabeth looking after elderly people in Bujumbura, Lydia Ludic Togo sponsored the performance of the troupe “Brin de Chocolat” in Lomé and invited the retired people of its company and Lydia Ludic Côte d’Ivoire donated food and essentials to the homeless people of Gobelet, a recently destructed slum of Abidjan.

4 countries attended ISAFE MOROCCO 2015 in Casablanca with the cooperation of Grupo Pefaco

The 2nd edition of ISAFE (International Security and Fire Fighting Exhibition) took place from the 9th till the 12th of April 2015 in the Office of Fairs & Exhibitions of Casablanca (OFEC), Morocco. ISAFE MOROCCO is an international event gathering more than 150 worldwide exhibitors and welcoming over 3.000 visitors to show the latest solutions and services in the firefighting, health and safety industries.

The African countries are facing new challenges in matter of safety and health while developing their infrastructure and industries. It appeared decisive to Grupo Pefaco that participating in the development of local communities would also involve participating in developing its Rescue Service’s expertise. Thus, Grupo Pefaco sponsored the attendance of the chiefs of fire brigades of BeninBurkina FasoTogo and Niger, at ISAFE MOROCCO 2015.

Through this action, the founders of Grupo PefacoFrancis PEREZ and Olivier CAURO, fulfill their wish to actively support the de­velopment of the communities in which it operates.

TOGO: GRUPO PEFACO sponsors the 1st economic forum in Lome: « Africa Best Practices »

Africa best Practices, the first Togolese economic growth and investment forum, will take place on February 26th and 27th 2015 in Lome, with the intention of presenting the potential investment opportunities in Africa. Africa Best Practices will talk about “How to reform African Economies to boost their growth?”. Many international decision-makers will gather during the 2-day-forum to debate and share their respective experiences.

Francis PEREZ and Olivier CAURO, the founders of Grupo Pefaco, aim to accompany the Togolese institutions in their development and growth. They have therefore decided to give them their full support by sponsoring the event, along with the World Bank amongst others.

The winner of the 2nd Jackpot Salary is Pierre-Claver HOUNSA, Chief Administrative Officer at Sodexh-Togo. He started working for Grupo Pefaco in Burkina Faso in March 2002. Later on, he worked in Niger before being promoted to his current position in Lome, Republic of Togo in March 2002. He is 63, married, has seven children and eight grand-children.

Togo for the first time at the International Tourism Fair FITUR 2015

The Republic of Togo will participate for the first time in the International Tourism Fair FITUR in its 35th edition, from January 28th to February 1st, 2015 in Madrid, thanks to Pefaco Hotels’ sponsorship.

The Togolese Ministry of Tourism will welcome attendees in Hall 6 AFRICA / MIDDLE EAST at booth 6D11. The Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Togo and Pefaco Hotels will join the professionals present to meet with industry experts to develop potential partnerships and contribute to the development of tourism in Togo.

FITUR is a global meeting point for tourism professionals and the leading trade fair for inbound and outbound Ibero-American markets. In 2014-confirming the trend towards recovery in the industry- 9,083 exhibiting companies from 165 countries/ regions, 120,231 trade participants and 97,549 people from the general public, met during FITUR to transform leisure into business and business into development. Moreover among the participation figures of note was the presence of 7,368 journalists from 60 countries, a turnout that demonstrates the importance of FITUR on the international circuit of tourism sector events.

Pefaco Hotels, a subsidiary of Grupo Pefaco, was created in 2009 with the aspiration of becoming a key player in the tourism industry in Africa. Pefaco Hotels is currently building the resort Pefaco Hotel Prestige Lomé 5*, consisting of a 198 room hotel and international conference centre on the beach of the Togolese capital.
